Shanghai One-day Tour for New Comers
|
|
| You can have a relaxing tour wherever you go in Shanghai, such as Yu Garden, Jade Buddha Temple or the Bund. You can start from the Bund areas where you can have a stroll and take some photos of modern Shanghai, then you can walk to Yu Garden, a very traditional Chinese garden where you can find many Ming and Qing styled houses and a beautiful pond inside. After that I suggest you have a window shopping tour at Town God Temple Market where you can find varieties of typical Chinese commodities. The snacks there are numerous and delicious. You can either eat in a clean eatery or a big restaurant. In the afternoon you can take a cab to go to Jade Buddha Temple with its priceless collection of jade statues from Burma for a short visit, which is also located at downtown not far away from Nanking Road. All depends on your interest, whether you prefer culture tour or city tour. Late in the afternoon you can to Huaihai Road, the former French Concession District, where there are hundreds of flag shops of well-known brands. Finally, you¡¯ll be able to stretch your legs in Shanghai's hottest new entertainment district, Xin Tian Di. The brick buildings on these two-square blocks have been preserved and transformed into trendy clubs, restaurants and boutiques. You will have time on your own here, or can go back to your hotel with the group.
