CL and I ate street food for breakfast (red bean bun, onion pancake, etc.) with Starbuck coffee and headed toward People Square to visit the Shanghai Museum. 
We first took a walk in Remin Park. Near Barbarossa, there were teams of Chinese people gathered around with sheets of paper hanging on the bushes. We got closer and I made out a few words. I told CL that I thought it was something awful like a missing person, or it was a personal ad. I asked a nearby person and they said that they were matchmaking! Hilarious! There were all kinds of papers that people were holding with their daughter/sister/son/brother information. Height and weight and profession seemed to be on each description! So interesting. I would be mortified if my mom hand wrote a personal ad for me and hung out at a public park. haha, cute!
Next we visited the Shanghai Museum. I was waiting for Christina to go to the Museum together. The Museum is shaped like a Chinese food vessel, a ding. There were exhibits displaying pottery, calligraphy, jade, chops, minority costumes, currency, etc. The museum is nicely done, but we only spent 2 hours there. One time visit is enough.
There is a yummy Portuguese egg tart place on the basement level of Raffle City. CL's first Portuguese egg tart. Delicious!
Next stop was the Yu Gardens. I saw the garden in 2005, but didn't remember it. Again, I was saving the revisit for when CL to see it. The gardens are nice - a lot of rocks and worth a visit, but not as wonderful as the books write it up to be. We waited in line at Naxiang Steamed Dumplings for 45 mins for there famous shiao long. The dumplings are now 12 rmb a steamer! Still a bargain, and still delicious.
It was about to get dark and at night we wanted to enjoy the views of Nanjing Rd and the Bund. We walked down Nanjing Rd and ate at Chamate. We ordered food, but CL most enjoyed her mango ice cream/condensed milk dessert, pomelo drink and my red bean shaved ice. The Bund is always beautiful and we went to the Bund Museum to enjoy and even nicer view. We walked up to the balcony and got bullied into buying drinks at their bar. Worth the photo opportunity though.
