Zhengzhou, the capital city of Henan Province, is an important inland transportation hub in China, with the two most important railways crossing here. 
Zhengzhou City is located on the southern side of the Yellow River and borders Kaifeng, the ancient capital of seven dynasties, and Luoyang, the ancient capital of nine dynasties, to its east and west respectively, and the Great Huanghuai Plain is just open to its southeast. Zhengzhou has five sattlelite townships, one countyship and six downtown districts under its administration with population more than 7 million. Zhengzhou is 760 km away from Beijing just down on the its southern side, 514 km apart from Wuhan to its north, 570 km to the estern coast line city Lianyun Port, and 480 km apart from Xi'an in the west, therefore Zhengzhou is located just at the center of these larger metrapolitan cities. The most important railways come across at Zhengzhou, which make the city a real transportation hub in China.
