--- Summer Palace, Lama Temple and Panda Garden The tour begins at the Yonghe Lamasery and the best representative of the region's many sacred temples. Lama Temple reveals diverse architectural styles from Han, Mongolia, Manchuria and Tibet. There is also an impressive 60-foot Maitreya Buddha, carved form a single sandalwood tree. Then go to Beijing Zoo to have a look of Pandas--- the lovely pet of almost all the people in the world. After a stop for lunch, you'll then visit the emperors' retreat, the historic Summer Palace. Used for eight centuries, the Empress Dowager Cixi had the property renovated in the 19th century, including a manmade lake we see today. Not only will you enjoy a tour of the ornate palace, you'll also stroll through one of Beijing's favorite parks. During the day, we will go on a shopping excursion to the White Peacock Silk Carpet Factory. We recommend you also take Tour I, which is held on alternating days. Each is a complete tour and can be taken separately. Tour Departure / Pick-up: Pick-up is between 08:00AM and 09:00AM at your hotel. For detailed info. Please drop in a mail to us.
