Guilin Cruise Tour on the Li River
Lijiang River originates from the remote mountainous region in the northeast of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, flowing pass Guilin, Yangshuo, to the southern part of Guangxi and finally pour into Pearl River at Canton. The total length is 437 kilometers. 
The part of Lijiang River between Guilin and Yangshuo is 83 kilometers long, like a green ribbon flowing among the mountains. This part of Lijiang River can be divided into two parts for visiting. The first part is around Guilin, about 10 kilometers long, from Elephant Hill to the remote suburb Tashan Mountain. You can have a bike riding tour along the riverbank. Then, from the cruise ferry to Yangshuo about 50 kilometers long you can take the cruise tour about 4 hours. The scenes along the section the river are the most beautiful. Standing on the cruise you can pass through many splendid views and many tourists just stay on the deck to enjoy the green hills and crystal clear water and they wonĄŻt come back the cabinet just for fear that they might miss some part of the scenes.
The charm of visiting Lijiang River is so attracting that many western tourists begin to believe the landscape in the Chinese water-colored painting really exist on the earth.
And you don't have to be worry about the weather at Guilin. Different weather can produce different scene effects and all is worth the trip. When it is sunny, you can see the inverted reflections of the hills in river water; when it is cloudy, the green hills are half hidden in the clouds or half shrouded in the mist; when it is drizzling, you can just enjoy appreciating a faintly Chinese water-colored painting.
Yangshuo is a small city near Guilin of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is famous as a scenic spot. But these days, it has become even more famous because the director, Zhang Yimou, a well-known film director in China, designed a large-scale performance set on the Lijiang River near Yangshuo, where you will find the scenes even more beautiful. As soon as you get to the ferry, there is good coffee at the entrance of West Street, where many western tourists are chatting and reading. After an authentic cup of coffee, you can have stroll on the shopping street and walk to the downtown, where your car is waiting for you to return to Guilin. You will be back to your hotel before 17 in the afternoon.
